Tips for Konark and Puri

• Konark: go before the midday heat if you can. An ASI ticket is needed; check current timings and fees on the ASI website before you go. Government-approved guides are available at the entrance.
• Jagannath Temple rules: only Hindus may enter the temple. Mobile phones, cameras, bags and leather items are not allowed inside; leave them at the free cloakroom outside the Singhadwara (Lions Gate). Non-Hindu visitors can see the temple from outside.
